The cats' whiskers. A bit of a technical challenge. Now Larry has his whiskers, just a strip of light to paint on the Downing Street door, and a little bit more detail here and there - then the miniature portrait of the chief mouser will be complete.
Day 5 Larry Chief Mouser to the cabinet office. A miniature portrait in oils. A few more coats on the door required as well as his fur ect.
Chief Mouser to the cabinet office. Day 3 Miniature portrait in oil
Chief Mouser to the cabinet office. A miniature oil painting, 9 hours work so far. This is based on an official photograph of Larry using the "open government licence".
Work in progress 3
Chang Himal A step into the unknown
Patience on the slopes.
Traversing the rocky scree into the clouds.
Slow progress on Chang Himal/ Wedge peak
"Rotten rock and and sweeping snow shoots"
The state of play on my most recent oil painting.
After four weeks trekking/ photographing the Kanchenjunga region of Nepal. This view of Chang Himal above the campsite at Llonak is the inspiration for my next painting.
