"A step into the unknown". This is a large painting for me ....A2 size. A bit scary like the slope! Here I am looking up at a massive face in the Himalayas . Its above the campsite at Llonak in the Kangchenjunga area of Nepal. The peak seen above Llonak has many names, Wedge peak, Chang Himal Ramtang Himal. Personnaly, I think I,m painting the lower slopes of the ridge further down the valley, the actually peak is just around the corner. Who knows ...does it matter? Nick Bullock described the unclimbed North face of Chang Himal " A step into the unknown" . This seems an appropriate title on so many levels.There is still a long way to go on this painting but I,m happy with the progress. I've had to let the painting dry a bit.
