My local natural history museum holds a vast collection of animal including butterfly specimens from around the world. They are held in two galleries the "Lake District Natural History" and "World Wildlife" www.kendalmuseum.org.uk

Held on the last Sunday of the month from April to September. Artists display their work on the prom at Grange-over-Sands, Cumbria. In 2010 over 135 artists attended using 70 sites. www.promart.info
